The 7th Annual Tots ‘N Trucks, presented by Sculpt Nouveau and the County of San Diego, will take place on Saturday October 14 at Kit Carson Park in Escondido from 10 AM to 2 PM. Admission is free and the public is invited. Come join in a full day of fun for the entire family. Kids of all ages will have the opportunity to climb and explore work trucks of all shapes and sizes including fire trucks, police cars, dump trucks, garbage trucks, paving trucks and many more.
The event is hosted by the Escondido Community Child Development Center and Escondido East Rotary Club and admission is FREE! Along with trucks, there be great food, raffles, special appearances by Star War characters, Ronald McDonald, Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap truck , karate demonstrations, entertainment by the Classical Academy Caimans and Ubiquitous Guitar bands and much, much more. Bring your family and friends.
Feeding San Diego, part of the national Feeding America program, has partnered with ECCDC to receive food donations. The food will be shared with families enrolled in the ECCDC Child Development Program. The Food Pantry will be distribute free food each Thursday afternoon at the Boyce and Clothier Centers. For information on how you can participate, please contact your Site Supervisor.
Work is underway on a new entrance to the Lorraine Boyce Child Development Center that will help the campus to be more secure. Crews took down the old storage building so they can start building the new office building and campus entrance.
Practice is underway for our 43rd Annual ECCDC Graduation. This year Graduation will be held at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido in the Center Theater on Wedneasday June 28 beginning at 6 pm.
Each graduating student will receive a back pack of school supplies generously donated by the Escondido East Rotary Club and Glennie’s Office Supply.
