MURAL TO HIGHLIGHT ESCONDIDO CULTURE

A mural, depicting the history and culture of Escondido, has been completed and is now open to the public. The Wall Speaks is at the ECCDC Lorraine Boyce campus on 9th Avenue.  The painting was created  by local artist Leslie Mayer and Cindy Peters.  Pictures of the unveiling are on the main page of our website.  The wall is 180 long and was made possible by grants received from the Escondido Charitable Foundation and the City of Escondido, CDBG program.

COMMUNITY HONORS BOB & MARION WILSON

The Escondido Community honored philanthropist Bob & Marion Wilson on Bob’s 90th Birthday.  The event, co-sponsored by ECCDC and the Escondido Charitable Foundation, was held at Escondido High School. Over 300 people attended to honor the couple who have given generously to many non-profits in the Escondido community.   ECCDC Executive Director Jim Wiese and Escondido resident and Philanthropist Jack Raymond served as the Master of Ceremonies.  Bob & Marion Wilson have been generous supporters of ECCDC and we were happy to be part of this well deserved night of appreciation.

ESCONDIDO EAST ROTARY HELPS SANTA

ECCDC SITES HOLD ANNUAL ASQ NIGHTS

Children and Parents attended the Annual Ages and States Questionnaire (ASQ) night on our ECCDC campuses.  Parents engaged with their children and teachers to complete the questionnaires.  The data will help our teachers develop lessons plans which meet the needs of the children they work with. A large turnout of parents enjoyed a spaghetti dinner complete and a great time in the classroom.  Awesome job by our teaching and kitchen staff and a thank you to the staff from HDS for helping to score the questionnaires.                                                                                                                          12    10  5
