ECCDC Board Member Wayne Brunner was honored at the 30th Annual North County Philanthropy Council Volunteer Awards Day on November 2 at the California Center for the Arts Escondido. Wayne has been an active ECCDC Board member for the past eight years and a vital part of the success of ECCDC. Congratulations Wayne and thank you for all you do!
The Annual ECCDC Fall Festival was filled with games and activities, costumes and lots of treats.
A record crowd was on hand Oct 14 for the 7th Annual Tots ‘N Trucks event presented by ECCDC and the Escondido East Rotary Club. The event, title sponsored by Sculpt Nouveau and County Board of Supervisor Kristen Gaspar, provided fun for the entire family. ECCDC is participating in the City of Escondido National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 1 at Grape Day Park in Escondido. Come by the ECCDC booth to learn more about our services.
Parents, staff and students from the ECCDC Clothier Center worked on the garden in preparation of planting the next crop of vegetables. Part of our Farm to Table curriculum.
Feeding San Diego, part of the national Feeding America program, has partnered with ECCDC to receive food donations. The food will be shared with families enrolled in the ECCDC Child Development Program. The Food Pantry will be distribute free food each Thursday afternoon at the Boyce and Clothier Centers. For information on how you can participate, please contact your Site Supervisor.
Work is underway on a new entrance to the Lorraine Boyce Child Development Center that will help the campus to be more secure. Crews took down the old storage building so they can start building the new office building and campus entrance.
