A mandatory Parent Orientation for ECCDC families will be held October 29 at 5:30 pm via Zoom Meetings.  Families will gt a chance to connect with Directors and Supervisors to better understand expectations for the school year.  If you have specific questions you would like addressed, you can send those questions prior to meeting to

The ECCDC Annual Fall Festival will be held October 30 at the Boyce and Clothier Sites for students attending in classroom instruction.  Due to current pandemic regulations for social distancing, the Festival will be a scaled down version from past years.  Each classroom will host their own festival within their classroom.  For more information please contact your child’s teacher.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic the 10th Annual Tots ‘N Trucks event has been cancelled.  The event, scheduled for October 10th,  is a very hands on experience for families and due to current COVID conditions it is necessary to cancel the event.  Tots ‘N Trucks  will return in October 2021.


ECCDC reopened for a limited capacity of children and staff on September 1. The Lorraine Boyce Child Development Center and the Ruth Clothier Child Development Center will open for children from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday (except for holidays).  For those students not able to return, distance learning will continue so all children have an opportunity to learn.  If you would like to enroll in in person or distance learning programs please contacd ECCDC at 760-839-9361 or email at

Families invited to in person learning will be contacted by ECCDC. All in-person learning families must agree to follow the COVID policy and procedures as outlined in the “ECCDC COVID Parent Agreement” letter. Please click on the link below for a copy. Due to the recent direction from the State of California and the CDC, the 7th Annual ECCDC Golf Classic has been CANCELLED for July 24, 2020 at the Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos.  The new date for the next Golf Classic is April 16, 2021.  Please plan on joining us for some great outdoor fun and entertainment.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Developmental Specialist Program, which focuses on the development of the child in cognitive, motor, adaptive, communications and social/emotional skills.  These are valuable services in the early development of children and your support of this tournament will help to keep this program going.
